Seems more and more now days we are seeing premium wordpress theme’s popping up for sale. So in this post’s i thought i would give you a run down of some of the premium themes that are out there and also offer some alternatives to these paid themes.

Unique Blog Designs

Unique Blog Designs has 8 premium themes for sale all at the price of $79. These are quality themes and are made by the same people who designed ShoeMoney’s blog aswell as John Chow’s. They have been recieving allot of attention as of late and whilst i cant say i am the biggest fan of there work there are plenty of high profile people out there that seem to love them.

Revolution Themes

Revolution Themes have 6 premium themes for sale. There are two options when it comes to buying one of these themes, the first being to purchase a single use package at $59.95 which entitles you to use the theme on only one blog and the footer credits must remain intact. The second option is to purchase a multiple use package at $199.95, as you probably guessed this enables you to use the theme on multiple blogs aswell as allowing you to remove the footer credits.

Premium News Theme

Premium News Theme only has the one theme for sale and much like the Revolution Themes they offer you two purchase options. The first being ‘News Blogger Package - Single-use License’ costing $99.95 which allows you to use the theme on a single blog only but does not require to keep the footer credits. The second option is to purchase the ‘Developers’ Package - Multiple License’ allowing you to use the theme on multiple blogs and also included the fully layered photoshop file which in my opinion is a big plus but still for me does not justify the $249.95 price tag.

Showcase Theme

Unlike the previous theme’s WP Designer’s theme is a CSS or web design gallery theme. Featuring 8 layout variations aswell as many other features including iintegrated WP plugins such as WP-PostRatings and WP-PageNavi, 5 different color themes, widget ready side bars, valid XHTML/CSS, SEO sidebar titles and more.
There are 2 purchase options, the cheapest of which being the single domain license at $70. You can alternatively purchase the multiple domain license for $280. Also for an added $30 you can purchase the ‘credit removal’ option if you would like to get rid of the credit text in the footer.

Cornerstone Theme

Corner Stone Theme is yet another magazine style theme. There are two purchase options, the first costing $99.95 allowing you to use the theme on one blog and the second costing $249.95 allowing you to use the theme on multiple blogs.

Premium Press

Jepson provides you with two premium themes to purchase aswell as two free themes. You will notice that unlike the others these are not magazine style themes which is a great thing considering how many of these magazine style themes are popping up recently. GrungePress is my favorite theme that they provide, its a really great design and only costs $49 which includes the header psd. Alternatively you can purchase the ‘multiple user license for $99 which includes the complete fully layered .psd file.

RockinTheme’s

RockingTheme’s just recently released there first premium theme and out of all the premium themes featured here it is one of my favorites. Before purchasing this theme you may be interested in watching there intro video which details some of the themes features. The single lisense package cost’s $97 and as an added bonus you will receive 7 Steps to Optimizing Your WordPress Blog Video Tutorials ($67 value) and the Quick Start Guide to Using WordPress ($19.95 value) for free.

SoloStream

With 10 themes for sale SoloStream has the largest collection of premium themes out of all the site profiled in this post. All of them cost $49 for a single use license and $159 for a multiple use license. One of the better themes they offer is Solostream 3-Column 1.0 which features a drop down category menu, a tabbed content box and featured article functionality.

You probably noticed that most of those premium themes are magazine style themes. If you still want a magazine style theme but don’t want to pay for it then here a few free magazine style theme’s.
